🛠️ Home Maintenance Checklist for August
The Dog days of Summer are here. It also happens to be a popular month for birthdays. As a Smart Homeowner, you know keeping up with home maintenance can sometimes feel like a chore. The good news is that tackling a few small tasks now prevents big headaches (and expensive repairs) later.

August Maintenance Mission: Finishing Strong
This month's focus is checking for storm damage, landscape clearance, and sealing up bathrooms and kitchens.
Your tasks for the next 30 days are:
Check Grout & Caulk: Inspect the grout and caulking in the kitchen and bathrooms. Re-caulk any areas showing mildew or cracking to prevent water damage.
Tree Trimming: Trim trees and bushes that are touching the house or roof. This prevents damage, keeps pests away, and reduces debris in your gutters.
Clean Showerheads: Soak your showerheads in a baggie of vinegar overnight to remove mineral deposits and restore strong water pressure.
Storm Check: After any big summer storm, quickly inspect roof shingles and siding for signs of damage that might need repair before fall.
Attention: Furnace Filter Alert: Fall is around the corner, and your furnace filter still needs your attention. Swap it out for a new sparkly one today.
That’s all for this month! Knock these items out, and you can relax knowing your home is performing perfectly.
Happy home-owning!
