🛠️ Home Maintenance Checklist for December
Winter is officially here, and so is the season of giving. Give your home the gift of regular maintenance this year. As a Smart Homeowner, you know keeping up with home maintenance can sometimes feel like a chore. The good news is that tackling a few small tasks now prevents big headaches (and expensive repairs) later.

December Maintenance Mission: Holiday Focus
This month's focus is checking for electrical safety, protecting plumbing, and deep cleaning for visitors.
Your tasks for the next 30 days are:
Light Check: Inspect all holiday lights and extension cords for frayed wiring or damage before setting up decorations.
Pipe Prep: Inspect insulation around any exposed pipes in unheated areas (garage, basement, crawl space). Add inexpensive foam insulation where needed.
Oven Deep Clean: Deep clean your oven before the heavy holiday cooking begins. A clean oven prevents smoke and potential fire hazards.
Guest Bathroom Check: Take a quick look at the seals and caulking in your guest bathroom and make sure all fixtures are functioning perfectly for any holiday visitors.
Give the gift of a Furnace Filter: During the season of giving, who wouldn't want to unwrap a new furnace filter. While your at it, put one under your tree, and then in your furnace..
That’s all for this month! Knock these items out, and you can relax knowing your home is performing perfectly.
Happy home-owning!
