🛠️ Home Maintenance Checklist for September
September brings with it the glorious days of Fall. As a Smart Homeowner, you know keeping up with home maintenance can sometimes feel like a chore. The good news is that tackling a few small tasks now prevents big headaches (and expensive repairs) later.

September Maintenance Mission: Pre-Fall Prep
This month's focus is scheduling your furnace care, chimney inspection, and exterior sealing.
Your tasks for the next 30 days are:
Furnace Tune-Up: Schedule your furnace tune-up now! Getting ahead of the heating season means you won't be scrambling if it breaks when the first chill hits.
Fireplace Ready: If you use your fireplace, schedule an inspection and cleaning of the chimney and flue. Safety is paramount!
Driveway Defense: Check and repair any large cracks in driveways or walkways before the freezing temperatures expand them into bigger problems.
Caulk Refresh: Look for old, cracking caulk around exterior window frames. Replacing it now creates a tight seal against upcoming rain and cold.
Your Furnace Filter Called: It needs to be replaced.
That’s all for this month! Knock these items out, and you can relax knowing your home is performing perfectly.
Happy home-owning!
