One Wild 9 Month Ride
Family First. Always.
As I gathered with family this Independence Day, it hit me:
We need a vacation. Not me … WE… as in my family.
Not just a weekend getaway or a couple of days at the lake—a real family vacation. Nothing fancy—just something to bring everyone together to reconnect, unplug (except for the necessary selfie), and explore a new corner of the world as a team. You know, sunscreen, matching shirts, way too many snacks, and a whole lot of laughter.
Why?
Because life has been nonstop.
Beautiful. Chaotic. Full of milestones.
And definitely in need of a little pause-and-breathe time before the year flies by completely.
In the Last 9 Months...
Our family has lived a whole lifetime of change:
🚗 9 new driver’s licenses
💍 2 weddings
📦 4 address changes
🦶 1 sprained ankle (because no family story is complete without a little drama)
💕 And welcomed one unexpected bundle of joy—not the tiny, crying kind, but the joy wrapped in packing tape, party shoes, and permission to start fresh.
Life transitions aren’t isolated events. Even when it’s “just one person” moving or saying “I do,” the ripple effect hits the whole family. Who’s got the extra storage bins? Who can dog-sit during the showing? Can someone run point on pizza and packing tape?
Whether we’re hauling furniture or hauling emotions, we jump in as a team. And that’s the beauty of family. We’re not just around for the highlight reel—we’re in the nitty-gritty moments, helping each other through new addresses, new names, new normals.
And honestly, that’s the magic of family. We're not just in each other's lives—we're all in.
When You Plan It, It Feels Different
What makes this story especially sweet? None of it was reactive (okay except the ankle thing. That wasn’t planned). Every big change—from DMV lines to “I do’s”—was part of a larger, intentional plan. We didn’t wait for a crisis or chaos. We anticipated the shifts, talked through them, supported each other, and jumped in with sleeves rolled up.
Because when you approach change with a clear plan, you create space for joy, not just survival. It feels empowering.
Before the Next Chapter…
As we wrap up this season of “new last names and fresh zip codes,” I’m already thinking about what’s next—not just for my family, but for yours, too.
Because life will change. That’s a guarantee. The question is: will you meet it proactively… or reactively?
Did you know the average home move takes about 45 days?
👉 Where will you be in 45 days?
Reminiscing about the “should haves”… or celebrating the “so glad we dids”?
Maybe your home still fits your life like your favorite pair of jeans—or maybe it’s feeling a little tight in the waist or baggy in the knees. So I’ll ask:
🏡 Does your current home still fit your lifestyle?
👨👩👧 Would you feel more peace closer to loved ones—or in a more manageable space?
📦 Do you need to make room for a growing family—or make life simpler with less upkeep?
🐶 Maybe it’s time for a fenced-in yard and a wagging tail?
More Than Just a Move
Whatever your story, real estate isn’t just about buying or selling houses. It’s about creating a space to break bread, celebrate holidays, and make memories that last longer than any mortgage.
So whether you’re moving across the country or just across the neighborhood, I’m here to help you think ahead—with heart, clarity, and maybe even a playlist to pack to.
So here’s to family first, always.
Here’s to moving boxes and wedding bells.
Here’s to planning ahead—and laughing through the process.
And here’s to wherever your next 45 days may lead.
If it includes a house, I know a girl. 😉
